We spent an awesome few days at the 2022 Annapolis Boat Show, where we met some great people, got to network with like-minded boat owners, and attended the Young Cruisers Awards. We even ran into some fans of our YouTube channel—the ultimate honor for content creators!
Part of the fun of boat shows is going to see other boats, even if you’re not shopping for one. We got to poke around some incredible boats, including a luxury charter sailboat. (Got nine friends willing to split the $42,000/week cost? You’ll have the vacation of a lifetime.)
If you are in the market for a new boat, though, and you’re looking for a broker, we’d highly recommend Michele Ropiza at Catamaran Brokerage. We were lucky to cross paths with her at the show, and we mention her in our blog post about what to expect when buying a sailboat.
One of our highlights of the boat show: seeing one of the most famous boats out there, La Vagabonde (of the Sailing La Vagabonde channel). Riley and Elayna are an Australian couple who have been documenting their sailing adventures since 2014, and they were a huge inspiration for us to take our own leap into the boating life. Check out our other video where we get to meet them in person!
